NISD has been providing services to the Queer community since its inception in 2006. Located in the heart of Hillcrest, we partner with many healthcare providers and agencies, including the LGBT Center, who provide services and safe spaces for LGBTQIA+ identified clients. Our therapy staff strive to be culturally-informed, non-judgmental and welcoming to clients who may find themselves needing support as they navigate different stages of coming out, relationships, family dynamics, work stress, gender transitions, anxiety, depression, addiction and many other challenges related to our heteronormative, mainstream society.
