Carolyn Goggin

Carolyn Goggin-Adams is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) currently working as a clinician and supervisor for the Psychiatric Emergency Response Team (P.E.R.T) in collaboration with law enforcement agencies throughout the County of San Diego. Carolyn is a graduate of San Diego State University for both undergraduate and graduate studies, receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Family Studies in 2008 and Master’s Degree in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2012. Carolyn completed her Certified Nursing Assistant program and certification in 2006. Carolyn completed her AMFT traineeship at the Center for Health and Wellbeing with Dr. Jan Ewing and Ron Estes LMFT beginning in 2010 until 2012.

Carolyn has been practicing for the past 10 years in San Diego meeting with individuals and their families within the context of their homes, schools, and local communities. She is influenced by the Narrative values of relational ethics, cultural humility, and grass root efforts to have intentional conversations with others that may be brief in duration however meaningful and supportive of preferred identities and overall wellbeing.

Carolyn is a proud mother of two daughters (Reece and Emery), long-distance runner, and prefers to be outdoors as much as possible. She believes that a supportive community is essential to optimal health and wellness.
