BBS Clinical Supervisor and Supervision Coordinator

Lauren provides clinical supervision for trainee and associate therapists and serves as a supervision coordinator for NISD.  She began her journey at NISD as a trainee therapist in 2016 and continued on as an associate therapist until she completed her hours for licensure.  Lauren is now a licensed marriage and family therapist and a BBS Clinical Supervisor.  In addition to her role with NISD, Lauren has a private practice, Lauren Choe Therapy, where she works primarily in perinatal mental health supporting clients and their families through the transitions of pregnancy and the postpartum experience. 

Prior to becoming a therapist, Lauren worked as an attorney and has served as a “doula” or birth partner for numerous friends and family members over the last five years. She is an integral member of the NISD leadership team and lends her knowledge in the areas of law and ethics.
